Calling all animal lovers! The Heritage Humane Society's 5th annual FURever Homes Race is coming up on Saturday, June 15. This paw-some event to support local homeless pets in need will be at Jamestown High School. It is a Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix event and is for runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels. There will be an 8k, 5k, and 1-mile Fun Run. All courses use the grounds of Jamestown High School, sections of Powhatan, Greenspring’s, and Capital Trail. There will be community vendors, music, food, family fun, raffles, and more! Registration includes a t-shirt, participant medal, drink voucher, 1 raffle ticket, and race packet.

Leashed dogs are welcome at Vendor Village and can participate in the 5k and 1-mile Fun Run. Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations to attend. For the safety of the runners/walkers, we are asking dogs to be on non-retractable leashes only.
